Hello, I am Marijn Tijhuis

I am a webdesigner and developer from The Netherlands. This is my little spot on the web. Check out the things i do and the stuff i love.

You want to know more? All right then, I am from the city of Nijmegen, currently living in the lovely village Hilvarenbeek. I work part-time as a front-end developer at Studio Dumbar. I also work as a freelance webdesigner and webdeveloper at my own little studio Fat Pixel. I'm also a husband to Myrthe and dad to Elias. In my spare time, I blog at Nijmegen Rock City. I like loud music, horror flicks, traveling asia and everything digital. Oh, and I also play bass guitar in Captain Ortega and enjoy watching the occasional pro-wresting match.

These 'congrats on you work anniversary' messages on #LinkedIn are automated, right? My contacts aren't REALLY commenting on this? Right?

Dutchwrestling?

Maybe you're wondering why the domain of this website is Dutchwrestling.nl? From 1998 to 2005 this website was the leading community for dutch pro-wrestling fans.

I designed, built and managed the community with the help of a team of moderators and writers. It was a great and powerfull community to manage and I'm still friends with some of the community members. I also went to a zillion of shows in the Netherlands and Germany those days.

When the community went offline, I decided to keep the domain, because I occasionally wrote a pro-wrestling review. Nowadays I don't watch wrestling at a regular basis, but I do visit a live pro-wrestling show now and then. Maybe I'll see you there!

If you are looking for a dutch wrestling community nowadays, try your luck at WWE Holland. Have a question about pro-wrestling? Feel free to contact me using one of the options listed above.
